The Chargers promoted FB-LB Kion Wilson from the practice squad to the active roster on Saturday, a day before their Week Four game against the Cardinals.

Wilson, an undrafted rookie from South Florida, joined the team in May.

The Chargers released CB Dante Hughes to make room for Wilson.

The way we see it

Wilson is likely to contribute on special teams. The Chargers gave up two kick-return touchdowns in Week Three to Seahawks RB Leon Washington. Wilson might play some linebacker as well, with starters Shawne Merriman and Larry English listed as doubtful.
