Bears OT Chris Williams will not play Sunday night against the Giants, according to an report posted Friday morning.

Williams will miss his second consecutive contest after leaving the Cowboys' game with a hamstring injury in Week Two.

Frank Omiyale has moved from the ORT position to the left side to replace the former first-round pick, with OT Kevin Shaffer stepping in at right tackle.

Williams did not practice on Wednesday and Thursday.

Way we see it

Although it's never easy to lose a starting left tackle, the offensive line has held its own in Williams' absence, with Omiyale and Shaffer performing well as the Bears have defeated two leading NFC contenders, Dallas and Green Bay.

The O-line will likely be tested be a deep Giants defensive front that has a history of putting pressure on opposing quarterbacks.
