Is the Ravens' run defense a problem? The numbers through three games weren't flattering — 127.7 rushing yards per game allowed, including 173 yards to Cleveland. The Browns' relative ease establishing the run and the Ravens' inability to get them out of their game plan was especially striking when considering the Ravens' long run of success stopping opposing ground games. The day after the Cleveland game, head coach John Harbaugh, having looked at the film, pointed to poor tackling and an inability to get off blocks as problems. The Ravens definitely have the talent to get better, and quickly, with playmakers throughout the defense. But no one player will solve the problems. The ultimate key, one daily team observer said, is keeping MLB Ray Lewis free of blockers. On Cleveland's three longest runs in Week Three, the Browns got good blocks on Lewis.
