Here's a key matchup to watch heading into Monday night's game between the Patriots and Dolphins:
Patriots ORT Sebastian Vollmer vs. Dolphins OLB Cameron Wake
The Pats' offensive line has been nothing less than stellar this season, allowing just two sacks as Tom Brady has engineered the best scoring offense in the league. Wake is one of the best pass rushers the Patriots have seen this season. He has 2½ sacks, including a crucial one of Brett Favre in the endzone in Week Two. Brady likes to get rid of the ball fairly quickly and let his receivers and tight ends work in space. But if you give him time, it allows Randy Moss to fly down the sideline, or other receivers to get open in the middle of the field, and Brady will find them.
With some inexperience in the secondary and struggles covering the opposition's tight ends, the Dolphins will need to get a pass rush going against Brady, and Wake is their best option. He generally rushes an opposing team's right tackle and has found success; he will give Vollmer a challenge. Vollmer, a second-year player, will have his toughest task of the season with Wake and, if he wants the offense to keep flowing, he will need to keep Wake away from Brady.
