Bears' defensive backs vs. Giants' wide receivers
Giants QB Eli Manning will have his full arsenal of weapons at receiver on Sunday night, and the Bears' defensive backs will face the talented trio of Mario Manningham, Hakeem Nicks and Steve Smith.
There was doubt earlier this week about whether Manningham would play vs. the Bears, but he is said to have passed all the tests geared toward determining whether he had suffered a concussion and will be active on Sunday night.
All three Giants receivers are big-play threats, but at least four of Manning's six interceptions this season have come on plays when receivers dropped passes. The Bears always emphasize going for takeaways, so there is no doubt CBs Tim Jennings, who is likely to start ahead of Zack Bowman, Charles Tillman and D.J. Moore and safeties Danieal Manning and Chris Harris will be looking to capitalize if the Giants' receivers don't hang on to catchable passes.
That said, both Bowman and Jennings have missed tackles. The Giants will rack up passing yards if that issue resurfaces.
