Two-time Pro Bowl OG Logan Mankins continues his holdout, but there hasn't been a negative impact on the Patriots' offensive line. It allowed just two sacks in the first three games and the Patriots have the best scoring offense in the league. Mankins' replacement, Dan Connolly, has performed well while also doubling as a fullback in a short-yardage situation. The way we hear it, there is still a good chance Mankins sits out the entire season and teammates will be surprised if they play with him this season. But he also could come back in Week 10 to get an accrued year. This could provide an awkward situation for the Patriots, especially if the offensive line continues to thrive the way it has in protecting QB Tom Brady. How would signing Mankins in Week 10 affect the chemistry of a successful offensive line? One daily observer told us that as long as the Pats keep putting up points while protecting Brady, Mankins will lose his leverage.
