Turf toe may sideline Bulluck vs. Bears

Following back-to-back embarrassing losses in which their defense has given up a total of 67 points, the Giants are looking to rebound this Sunday vs. the 3-0 Bears. If the Giants are to pull the upset, they may have to do it without one of their top defenders.

SLB Keith Bulluck may miss the game due to turf toe. He sat out practice on Wednesday and Thursday, though was optimistic he'd be ready for the Sunday night contest.

"I have two-and-a-half more days to heal up, so I think I should be out there," Bulluck told the Star-Ledger.

"I like my chances. I'm a pretty fast healer. In the past, I've had certain injuries that should linger longer and I've been able to overcome them faster than the average position, so let's hope that's still in my favor."

The way we see it

Losing Bulluck wouldn't help the Giant "D" that has struggled this season vs. the run, ranking 26th in the league in that category. The Bears have a pass-first offense, but New York would still prefer to have their veteran 'backer on the field as opposed to the sideline. Second-year pro Clint Sintim is Bulluck's backup.
