Jets CB Darrelle Revis will miss his second consecutive game on Sunday, as his hamstring still hasn't fully healed after suffering a Week Two injury.

Revis hurt his leg on a deep touchdown by the Patriots' Randy Moss in the second quarter of the teams' Week Two matchup. Head coach Rex Ryan said the team will play it safe with their All-Pro defender.

"As bad as we want him to play, we want him to play the whole season," said Ryan.

Antonio Cromartie has replaced Revis as the team's top corner. Rookie Kyle Wilson was inserted in Cromartie's No. 2 spot but struggled last week and has been benched in favor of veteran Drew Coleman.

The way we see it

As Ryan said, the smart thing for the Jets to do is play it safe with Revis and make sure he's healthy for the majority of the season. The Jets' pass defense hasn't been stellar without Revis — the Dolphins had 363 passing yards in Week Three — but team has won both games that the "Island" has missed.
