Four-time Pro Bowl DL Trevor Pryce has reportedly signed with the Jets on Thursday after being cut by the Ravens.
The Ravens cut Pryce to make room when they re-signed S Ken Hamlin. Pryce, a 14-year veteran, recorded 6½ sacks in 2009 despite losing his starting spot midway through the season.
Ravens LB Terrell Suggs wrote on his Twitter account that Pryce had signed with the Jets. Other media outlets have reported the move, too.
The way we see it
Pryce played for Jets head coach Rex Ryan when Ryan was the Ravens' defensive coordinator, so he is familiar with the shceme run in New York. The Jets have been banged up in their front seven, with NT Kris Jenkins out for the season and OLB Calvin Pace sidelined for the first three games with a foot injury.
Pryce might slide in the team's D-line rotation at end, relegating Mike DeVito to second string.
