The Chiefs tried out three linebackers on Thursday, likely looking to improve their depth and special-teams units.
Thirteen-year vet Larry Izzo, eight-year pro Mark Simoneau and undrafted rookie Chris McCoy all were in Kansas City to work out for the team. The Chiefs' special teams have been solid in 2010, but they may be concerned about the health of Jon McGraw, who has been one of their top gunners and is suffering from a hamstring injury.
The way we see it
No roster move was made, and head coach Todd Haley may just be bringing in bodies to set an example for the current roster. All three players who tried out are very similar, lacking height but making up for it with effort and intelligence.
