Vikings RB Adrian Peterson was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week for his 23-carry, 160-yard game against the Lions in Week Three.
Peterson scored two touchdowns, one of them an 80-yard run that was the longest in Peterson’s career and the fourth-longest ever by a Viking. He added five catches for 30 yards in the 24-10 win.
Peterson has won the award four times now, but this was the first time since he rushed for 192 yards in a win over the Packers in 2008.
