The Packers announced Wednesday that they have signed OT Chris Campbell to the practice squad. The transaction was announced by executive vice president, general manager and director of football operations Ted Thompson.
Campbell, a 6-5, 328-pound rookie, was on Green Bay’s practice squad for the first two games this season. Signed by the Packers as an undrafted free agent in April out of Eastern Illinois, Campbell played in all four preseason contests before being waived in the final roster cutdown. He will wear No. 69.

Campbell, it would appear, is yet another insurance policy for the offensive line if injuries to the unit — particularly OLT Chad Clifton — become a concern.
