The Giants have added WR Mario Manningham to the injury list with a concussion. His status for Sunday's game against the Bears is unknown.

Manningham will not practice Wednesday and will continue to undergo further medical testing, head coach Tom Coughlin said. The injury occurred in Sunday's loss to the Titans.

"He really appeared to be fine Monday when we saw him," Coughlin said. "We didn’t expect that there would be any slowdown in his performance today in practice. There was, so hopefully we can do the tests again and see how that comes out, but we’re a little bit surprised that there’s an issue here."

The Giants would vault rookie Victor Cruz to the No. 3 role if Manningham can't play.

C Shaun O'Hara also remains a question mark as he deals with an Achilles injury. Coughlin thought O'Hara might be able to play this week but now is unsure.

The way we see it

Manningham leads the Giants in receiving yards with 238 and is second to teammate Steve Smith with 14 receptions. He has been a bigger part of the passing offense than expected, often lined up against opponents' nickel backs. Cruz had a nice preseason, but it would be tough for him to match Manningham's production so far.

O'Hara would be a big loss if he missed multiple games. He and QB Eli Manning work well hand in hand and he's as sure as they come at center.
