Rams RB Steven Jackson will undergo an MRI Monday morning on his pulled groin muscle, according to, conveniently, Jackson himself.

The two-time Pro Bowler wrote on his Twitter account Monday, "'I'm just getting to the hospital for my MRI. I'm walking around pretty cool."

Jackson was hurt during the first half of St. Louis' Week Three win over the Redskins. He had rushed for 58 yards, including a 42-yard first-quarter TD, before leaving the game.

The way we see it

Any time Jackson misses will be a big blow to the Rams' offense, as he is their best player and No. 1 option. Reserves Kenneth Darby and Keith Toston were solid in relief, but the Rams may sign a running back if Jackson is out. Rumors circulated that Larry Johnson, who was cut by the Redskins on Sept. 21, may be heading to St. Louis.
