The Patriots released rookie OT Steve Maneri on Tuesday. Maneri had been inactive in the Patriots' first three games.

The Pats had claimed Maneri, an undrafted free agent out of Temple, on Sept. 5.

Maneri was the third-string tackle. If he's not claimed, he could fill the open spot on the Patriots' practice squad.

The way we see it

Mark LeVoir and Quinn Ojinnaka are the backup tackles behind starters Matt Light and Sebastian Vollmer. When Vollmer left Sunday's game with an injury, LeVoir replaced him. The Pats clearly feel comfortable with their tackle depth. The offensive line has allowed just two sacks all season.
