The Jaguars signed former Patriots LB Eric Alexander to a two-year deal on Monday.
Alexander, who spent his first six seasons in New England, was cut by the Pats before the season began. Alexander was a key special teams player for the Patriots.
The Jaguars are 1-2 and have the league's 29th ranked defense.
The way we see it
This added to a day full of transactions for the Jaguars who are looking to turn things around after back-to-back losses. Alexander, a six-year veteran who played in 14 games last season, figures to help a reeling defense and provides versatility with his special-teams play.
