Lions RB Jahvid Best is day-to-day after suffering Grade II turf toe injury in Detroit's Week Three loss to the Vikings.
Best left Sunday's game in the third quarter after suffering the injury. It is not a severe setback for the rookie and he should be available for the Week Four game at Green Bay.
The No. 30 pick in the 2010 draft, Best has rushed for 124 yards on 38 carries this year, scoring four touchdowns.
The way we see it
This is obviously good news for Best, who has given the Lions' ground game some life, an aspect they haven't had for several years. Turf toe can linger and it wouldn't be a shock to see Best sit out some more practices in the future and he may see fewer carries in games. Maurice Morris is the team's backup RB.
