OG-C Edwin Williams was elevated from the Bears' practice squad to their 53-man roster Monday. He takes the spot of OG Johan Asiata, who was released.

Williams was signed by Chicago on Sept. 1 after being cut in Redskins training camp. He appeared in four games a year ago for Washington.

Asiata played in reserve in Weeks One and Two.
