The Ravens scored 30 points or more in the first three games of the 2009 season with good balance on offense and defense but couldn't sustain that progress as the campaign progressed, became rather run-dependent by regular season's end and could not advance beyond the divisional round of the playoffs. This Ravens team has 20 points through two games, sounding a new round of alarms about another Baltimore power outage on offense, and particularly in the passing game, but this may be a passing attack more likely to peak later than earlier, the way we hear it. The passing game really disappointed in the Week Two loss at Cincinnati, with QB Joe Flacco throwing four interceptions, but the offensive line's pass protection did him no favors at times. However, we hear the line has upside to improve. The strong-armed Flacco also doesn't lack for potential, and he has a bevy of experienced targets, including T.J. Houshmandzadeh, signed just before the season opener. Flacco and Houshmandzadeh have struggled to connect early on, but that figures to change.
