One Packers starter, FB Korey Hall, and one key backup, LB Brady Poppinga, did not participate in Thursday’s practice session, according to the team’s injury report issued this afternoon. Hall has a hip injury, and Poppinga is battling a knee injury.
Five players had limited participation on Thursday: OT Chad Clifton (knee), TE Tom Crabtree (arch), DE Cullen Jenkins (hand), LB Brad Jones (knee) and DE Mike Neal (side/rib).
The way we see it
The key player on the list to watch is Clifton, who head coach Mike McCarthy said earlier in the week could be iffy for the Week Three game against the division-rival Bears. The injuries to Poppinga and Jones could become a factor in terms of the Green Bay LB corps’ ability to harness Bears RB Matt Forté as both a rusher and receiver.
