To borrow from hockey, the Seahawks announced a line change on Thursday, naming Peter McLoughlin their new president, replacing Tod Leiweke.

Both moves are hockey related. McLoughlin comes to Seattle from the St. Louis Blues, where he had been their CEO for the previous four years, while Leiweke is departing the franchise to take over as CEO and minority owner of the Tampa Bay Lightning.

"Consider me a new member of the 12th Man," McLoughlin said at his introductory press conference.

The new president, who also has the same title for the MLS club Seattle Sounders, is the team's liaison to owner Paul Allen and works on the business side of the franchise.
