Giants CB D.J. Johnson, a former teammate of Kenny McKinley, is not convinced the former Broncos wide receiver committed suicide. "Something fishy went down there," Johnson told the New York Post. "I don't think it happened the way they're saying it happened. Somebody did something to him."

Police have said McKinley died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Reports surfaced that McKinley had been depressed after being placed on injured reserve following season-ending knee surgery.

Johnson also referred to McKinley's young son as a reason that McKinley wouldn't commit suicide. "He lived for his son," Johnson said.
