Four Colts starters miss practice with injuries

Four Colts starters were out of practice on Wednesday because of injuries. RB Joseph Addai (undisclosed knee injury), LB Gary Brackett (back), LB Clint Session (hamstring) and OLT Charlie Johnson (right foot) were among the Colts missing practice.

DE Dwight Freeney took his customary extra day of rest. The Colts are already without WR Anthony Gonzalez (ankle), LB Ramon Humber (hand) and S Bob Sanders (biceps) for this week's game in Denver.

WR Pierre Garcon (hamstring) and C Jeff Saturday (knee surgery) were limited in Wednesday's practice.

The way we see it

Session and Johnson have been nursing their injuries since camp. Rookie Kavell Conner played well in Session's absence in Week Two. Johnson is expected to play, otherwise undrafted rookie Jeff Linkenbach would step in. If Addai's injury is serious, RB Donald Brown would take the bulk of the carries and he had the best game of his young career in Week Two, rushing for 69 yards and a TD. Rookie LB Pat Angerer is next in line behind Brackett if Brackett's injury keeps him out.
