The Falcons lost their No. 2 running back for the season in Week Two when Jerious Norwood reportedly tore an ACL, but we hear the team isn't too concerned about its ground game, even though it's down to a two-back rotation. Michael Turner will continue to get the bulk of the carries, and the team has plenty of confidence in backup Jason Snelling, whose role has been increasing over the past year with Turner and Norwood both missing time because of injuries last season. There is a good chance Norwood, who was playing on a one-year tender this season, will be allowed to depart in free agency in the offseason, a source said. The Falcons like Snelling's attitude and his violent running style, but the hard-charging nature of his game also creates some injury concerns. Atlanta signed RB Gartrell Johnson this week to take Norwood's roster spot, but his contributions will come on special teams.
