Two Colts rookies, TE Brody Eldridge and LB Kavell Conner, made a big impact in their first significant regular-season action in a Week Two victory over the Giants. Although neither player's stats jumped out of the boxscore — Eldridge didn't catch a pass and Conner recorded five tackles — their contributions didn't go unnoticed. Eldridge, who was only on the field for nine snaps in Week One, helped the offensive line clear the way for Joseph Addai and Donald Brown to rack up 161 yards on the ground. Conner, filling in at weak-side linebacker for the injured Clint Session, provided a spark for the defense with his energetic play and solid tackling. With Session still nursing a hamstring injury and LB Ramon Humber fracturing a hand against the Giants, Conner's role could expand in the coming weeks. Although Eldridge has been used more as an in-line blocker, the Colts are excited about his potential as a pass catcher.
