Here's a look at a key matchup heading into Monday night's Week Three battle between the Bears and Packers.
Packers OLB Clay Matthews vs. Bears offensive line
Matthews, who is off to a sensational start this season with three sacks in each of the first two games, can not be matched up against any particular Bears lineman. He is starting at left outside linebacker after manning the right side as a rookie, but Packers defensive coordinator Dom Capers seems intent on moving him around the field in search of mismatches.
The Bears' offensive line enters Week Three in a major state of flux, with normal OLT Chris Williams questionable at best after suffering a hamstring injury in Dallas. If Williams is out, his likely replacement will be Frank Omiyale, the normal right tackle who performed admirably in relief of Williams after swing tackle Kevin Shaffer struggled to get the job done on the left side. Shaffer, who will start at right tackle if Williams is out, could be a weak link. It's pretty much a given the Bears' line will frequently double-cover Matthews — not that it will matter. Matthews faced heavy double coverage against Buffalo and was still a beast.
