Browns ILB D'Qwell Jackson will practice Wednesday, head coach Eric Mangini said, according to the club.
Jackson has missed the first two games of the season with a pectoral injury suffered Aug. 10 in practice. He missed the final 10 games with an injury to his other pectoral muscle. Jackson returned to practice on a limited basis last Friday.
The 6-0, 240-pound Jackson notched 59 tackles in six starts last season. He has started 48 games with Cleveland in five seasons, notching 407 tackles.
The way we see it
Jackson, who turns 27 on Sunday, has been a key and productive member of the defense since joining the Browns in 2006. It will be interesting to see how his return will alter the picture at inside linebacker. Chris Gocong has started both games inside, with Eric Barton starting at the other inside spot in Week One and Scott Fujita getting the start opposite of Gocong in Week Two. In any event, the Browns have some options at this position.
