The Eagles have signed RB Joique Bell off the Bills' practice squad and cut veteran WR Hank Baskett.
Baskett has played all but one of his NFL seasons with the Eagles. He had his best season in 2006 as a rookie, starting five games and recording 464 receiving yards and two TDs.
Bell is an undrafted free agent and was the Division II player of the year in 2009.
The way we see it
Baskett had been reduced to a special-teams role, he was on the kickoff return team Sunday that allowed an onsides kick to be recovered. That play wasn't directly his fault, the Eagles are just more in need for another back. Mike Bell has not been good so faar and could be replaced at some point. In the Pro Football Weekly 2010 Draft Preview book, Nolan Nawrocki said that Joique Bell, "can compete for a job running between the tackles but is a step slow and not as nifty as scouts would like."
