Here's a look at a key matchup heading into Monday night's Week Three battle between the Bears and Packers.
Bears DE Julius Peppers vs. Packers OLT Bryan Bulaga
The Packers' usual starter at left tackle, Chad Clifton, is dealing with sore knees and it's likely that rookie Bryan Bulaga will start, although the team will wait until later in the week to make a decision on Clifton's availability. Bulaga, a first-round pick who competed for the starting job at left guard in camp, would face one of the toughest first tests imaginable if he gets the nod. Julius Peppers, who didn't have a sack last week after knocking Matthew Stafford out with a shoulder injury in the season opener, is one of the most athletic pass rushers in the game.
Head coach Mike McCarthy would send help Bulaga's way with a tight end or chipping back in some situations, but he'll be matched up with Peppers one-on-one at some point. QB Aaron Rodgers is elusive enough to avoid pass rushers, and he'll likely need to do a fair share of scrambling in Chicago.
