Redskins OLT Trent Williams received good news on Monday, as an MRI showed that he suffered no structural damage to his left knee, according to The Washington Post. Williams hurt his knee in the fourth quarter of the Redskins' overtime loss to the Texans, when he was thrown down by Houston DE Mario Williams.

The Post reports that, "(Trent) Williams suffered a knee contusion and a sprained toe, tests showed, but the injuries were not nearly as serious as the team initially feared." It is unknown if the rookie will play in Week Three vs. the Rams.

The way we see it

Trent Williams had a rough day on Sunday, allowing three sacks to Mario Williams in the overtime defeat. But thankfully he is not seriously injured and should be able to return to full strength shortly. Expect the team to play it safe with the man assigned to protect Donovan McNabb's blind side.
