Two Texans underwent MRIs Monday on their ankles. WR Andre Johnson has a mild sprain and is listed as day-to-day but is expected to start in Week Three. TE James Casey is expected to be out with an ankle sprain.

Head coach Gary Kubiak said Casey's sprain is "more severe" than Johnson's. Rookie Garrett Graham will replace Casey as the No. 3 tight end in Week Three. Johnson left Sunday's game in the third quarter but returned late in the fourth quarter to bring down a game-tying TD catch.

The way we see it

The Texans got good news that Johnson's sprain is just a mild one leading up to their intrastate game against the Cowboys in Week Three. While they have other weapons for QB Matt Schaub, Johnson is clearly the best and one of the best in the league. Owen Daniels is healthy again, and Graham is a solid backup, so the Casey injury is not a big blow.
