The Cowboys got good news Monday, something that is hard to come by in Dallas these days.

TE Jason Witten said he is feeling fine and has no headaches after hitting his head on the turf in Sunday's loss to the Bears. Team doctors held him out of the rest of the game. Witten expects to play in Week Three.

CB Mike Jenkins had an MRI on his right knee and said he feels good. Jenkins' knee collided with a Bears WR while trying to block him.

The way we see it

Witten was hot that he could not return to the game Sunday, but the medical staff took the right precautions. The Cowboys will need his skills against the league's 32nd-ranked pass defense in Houston. Jenkins had a bit of a tough afternoon Sunday, but he remains one of the better young corners in the league. The depth is thin behind him.
