Maybe the Packers aren't ready to live and die with Brandon Jackson as their starting running back the rest of the season. In ESPN's Sunday pregame show, insider Chris Mortensen reported that the Packers might be considering a trade for Bills RB Marshawn Lynch as a replacement for Ryan Grant, who suffered a season-ending ankle injury in Week One. Mortensen said the Bills would probably want a starting player and a draft pick in exchange for Lynch, a player the Packers have always reportedly liked.
The way we see it

This past week, the consensus seemed to be that, while the Packers might be interested in Lynch, the Bills appeared to be adamant in their desire to not let him go to another team. If the Bills were indeed just setting up a smokescreen, one starting Packers player Mortensen speculated they might be interested in is ILB A.J. Hawk, who remained on the sidelines in Week One the entire game with the Packers going solely with their nickel defense.

With Bills ILB Paul Posluszny currently out with a knee injury that could sideline him for at least three weeks, Hawk might come in handy. Another Packers player who might interest the Bills, even though he is not a starter, is versatile OT-OG T.J. Lang.
