Here are the Browns' players of the week on offense, defense and special teams for Week Two.
Offense: WR Joshua Cribbs' 65-yard TD reception gave the Browns a 14-10 lead in the second quarter vs. Kansas City. All told, Cribbs racked up 74 yards receiving on three catches. He was targted five times by QB Seneca Wallace. Cribbs is not known as a deep threat, and his ability to get down the field for the TD catch in Week Two is a positive.
Defense: Browns SS T.J. Ward continues to be very active. He notched a team-high nine tackles in Week Two. Honorable mention goes to OLB Marcus Benard, who notched a sack and two QB hits. Overall, the Browns' offense limited the Chiefs to 4.8 yards per play and three field goals.
Special teams: Browns P Reggie Hodges gets the nod here. He averaged 38.9 yards net on eight punts and had four punts downed inside the 20-yard line. Also of note: rookie DBs Ward and Joe Haden had a pair of special-teams tackles.
