Head coach Bill Belichick said it was time for the Patriots to "move on" when they traded RB Laurence Maroney to the Broncos for a fourth-round pick in 2011. That could just be the beginning of a possible overhaul in the Pats' backfield before next season. The way we hear it, the RB position could have similar turnover next year to what happened to the tight ends this season when the Patriots started fresh with three new faces at the position. RBs Kevin Faulk and Fred Taylor could retire at the end of this season, and the Patriots may decide to use the first-round pick they have from Oakland on a running back, potentially Alabama's Mark Ingram. Trade talks swirled when Maroney didn't play with the first team in the preseason, and BenJarvus Green-Ellis, who got most of the carries in the preseason and added five in Week One, can be the big back in place of Maroney.
