You probably couldn't have asked for more out of OLT Trent Williams in his first pro game. He stood up well to Cowboys OLB DeMarcus Ware, one of the best defensive players in the NFL. Ware did beat Williams on an inside move for a sack and had a couple of additional pressures, but the two players battled to what amounted to a stalemate for much of the game. The hits keep coming for Williams, however. Texans DE Mario Williams is in Ware's class as a pass rusher and provides just as stiff a test. The Redskins helped Trent Williams out in situations and are likely to do the same against Mario Williams. What stood out was the rookie's quick feet; he slid and adjusted well, able to adjust and recover on speed rushes. Head coach Mike Shanahan praised Williams for his work in Week One and clearly has trust in his abilities. If he stands up well against the Texans, it will be a good indication that the Redskins spent the No. 4 overall pick wisely.
