Giants CB Aaron Ross, who missed Week One, was back as a full participant in Wednesday's practice, but was reportedly hurt during Thursday's practice.
Ross was recovering from plantar fasciitis in his right foot. He suffered the injury against the Steelers in the preseason on Aug. 21. The former first-round pick played in only four games with one start in 2009 because of a hamstring injury. He started 15 games in 2008.
DE Osi Umenyiora (knee) and WR Hakeem Nicks (ankle) returned to practice Thursday.
The way we see it
Ross has been injury-plagued for a while now and this appears to be another setback. Terrell Thomas started in place of Ross and got an interception in Week One. When Ross is healthy, he will likely play in the nickel despite outperforming Thomas at times in training camp before the injury.
