The Falcons released reserve C Rob Bruggeman on Tuesday. He had been with the team since 2009, spending last season on the practice squad. He played in Sunday's loss at Pittsburgh.

The way we see it

With DT Jonathan Babineaux coming off the suspension list, the Falcons needed to create a roster spot. Bruggeman may return to the Atlanta practice squad if he is not claimed by another team on waivers.
