With the Packers signing RB Dimitri Nance on Tuesday, the Falcons had an opening on their practice squad, and they signed C Rob Bruggeman to fill that void.

Bruggeman, who played in the Falcons' Week One game at Pittsburgh, was released from the active roster earlier on Tuesday to make room for the returning Jonathan Babineaux.

Bruggeman spent part of 2009 on the Falcons practice squad. The Buccaneers signed him following the 2009 NFL draft.
