Early in the third quarter of the Falcons' game vs. the Steelers, Atlanta TE Tony Gonzalez caught a 20-yard pass. The reception moved the chains for the Falcons, but more importantly, it was catch No. 1,000 of Gonzalez's career.

The 10-time Pro Bowler is the first tight end to reach 1,000 career catches and the seventh player in league history to reach the milestone.

The way we see it

Congrats to Gonzalez on this great career accomplishment. He is still a vital part of the Falcons' offense and is going to be a top target for Matt Ryan to move the ball downfield all year long. No. 88 will be in the Pro Football Hall of Fame as soon as he is eligible.
