Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan did not deny trade talks involving DT Albert Haynesworth but did say that the embattled player would remain with the team at least through this week.

Reports had surfaced that the Redskins and Titans had trade discussions regarding Haynesworth this week. He played in Tennessee up through the 2008 season.

Shanahan, however, would not indicate if Haynesworth would play Sunday against the Cowboys, saying that information would give Dallas a "competitive advantage" in its game planning.

Haynesworth has been unhappy since it was announced the Redskins would employ a 3-4 defense that did not suit his skills ideally, and Shanahan played him mostly with the reserves during the preseason.
