Although it wasn't surprising that Cowboys OLG Kyle Kosier missed practice on Wednesday, the fact that starting ORT Marc Colombo did was a surprise.
Colombo did not practice on Wednesday, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported, and could miss Sunday's game against the Redskins as he battles back from right knee surgery.
Head coach Wade Phillips said Colombo could start if he had a good week of practice. That now appears less likely. Colombo would be replaced in the starting lineup by Alex Barron, who came over from the Rams in a trade this offseason.
Kosier is coming off a sprained right MCL and could miss the first two or three games. Montrae Holland has been taking his place in the starting lineup.
The Cowboys struggled offensively in the preseason, especially running the football, and many credited their woes to the play of the porous O-line.
