Head coach Chan Gailey has named rookie RB C.J. Spiller for the Bills in their Week One matchup with the Dolphins.

Even with the news that Fred Jackson (11 starts in 2009) was back from a broken left hand and ready to go in Week One, it was clear from early in the preseason that Spiller was going to be a big factor in the Bills' game planning.

Gailey said that Spiller's spark during the preseason, in which he led the team with three touchdowns, was enough for the coach to name the rookie his starter.

Jackson "will be fine," Gailey said, playing on Sunday while wearing a pad to protect the hand. Marshawn Lynch, who started part time last season, will be the third back.
