Reports indicate on Tuesday that the Seahawks plan to re-sign S Jordan Babineaux.

The team released Babineaux, a seven-year veteran out of Southern Arkansas, on Saturday. He started all 16 games for the Seahawks in 2009, recording 104 tackles, good for second most on the team.

The Seahawks released DT Craig Terrill giving them an extra roster spot.

Babineaux will most likely be the backup to starting SS Lawyer Milloy and brings more experience to the secondary that is starting a rookie, Earl Thomas, at free safety. Once nicknamed "Big Play Babineaux," the veteran is a solid third safety who the team clearly liked enough to bring him back for the season opener.
