The Jaguars and OG Uche Nwaneri have agreed on a five-year contract extension worth about $24 million, with $8-9 million guaranteed, according to FoxSports.com's Adam Caplan.
Nwaneri, 26, was a fifth-round pick of the Jaguars in 2007 out of Purdue. He has played in every game the past two seasons, starting all but four, and has been the team's most consistent offensive lineman.
Nwaneri enters the season as the starting left guard but has the ability to play both guard spots and center. His versatility will allow Jacksonville some flexibility on the interior of the O-line.
