Chargers WR Vincent Jackson's agents said Sunday a trade for their client fell through on Saturday, The San Diego Union-Tribune reported Sunday.

“The reason the deal didn’t happen was because the Chargers were asking for too much,” Jonathan Feinsod, one of Jackson's agents, told the Union-Tribune Sunday.

Chargers GM A.J. Smith would not comment Sunday, the Union-Tribune reported.

Jackson, 27, caught 68 passes for 1,167 yards and nine TDs in 2009. He has been suspended for the first three games of the season for violating the league's substance-abuse policy. He is also on the roster-exempt list, which requires him to sit out three games after signing a contract.
