The Dolphins were awarded four players off waivers Sunday — ex-Browns DE Clifton Geathers, ex-Saints OL Jermey Parnell, ex-Ravens OL Joe Reitz and ex-Seahawks DE Robert Rose.

The team also terminated the contracts of DE Marques Douglas, DE Charles Grant and OG Cory Procter, and placed CB Will Allen on injured reserve.

Geathers was a sixth-round pick (186th overall) of the Browns this past April and was released by the team Saturday. Parnell signed with the Saints as an undrafted college free agent on May 4, 2009 and was released by the team Saturday. Reitz spent the past two seasons on the Ravens' practice squad before being released by the team on Saturday. Rose, an undrafted free agent, signed with the Seahawks this past April. He was also released Saturday.

Douglas and Grant had signed with the Dolphins in July. Procter signed with Miami as an unrestricted free agent from the Cowboys in late May.

Allen, a Dolphins starter at cornerback since 2006, had major surgery on his left knee and missed the last 10 games of the '09 season. He had another procedure on the knee on Aug. 12 and was pointing toward a late-September debut.
