The Broncos on Sunday announced several transactions, including the club being assigned ex-Giants RB Andre Brown and ex-Vikings OL Chris Clark off waivers. The team also waived LB Baraka Atkins and RB Bruce Hall. And Denver added five players to its practice squad, too.
Brown, a 6-foot, 224-pound North Carolina State product, was a fourth-round draft pick of the Giants in 2009. He spent the '09 season on injured reserve with an Achilles injury. He missed New York's fourth preseason game with a turf toe injury.
Clark, a 6-5, 315-pound Southern Miss product, spent the past two seasons on the Vikings' practice squad. He entered the league as an undrafted free agent with the Buccaneers in 2008.
The players that Denver has added to its practice squad include: LB Kevin Alexander (rookie), WR Britt Davis (first-year player), TE Riar Geer (rookie), S Kyle McCarthy (rookie) and LB Worrell Williams (first-year player).
