The Bengals announced Sunday that they have claimed rookie QB Dan LeFevour off waivers from the Bears.
LeFevour, a 6-3, 230-pound Central Michigan product, was a sixth-round selection (181st overall) by the Bears in the 2010 draft. He played in all four of the Bears' preseason games, with 19-of-41 passing for 204 yards with one TD and one interception. He also had 38 rushing yards on five carries.
In order to make room for LeFevour on the active roster, the team terminated the contract of QB J.T. O'Sullivan. An eighth-year veteran, O'Sullivan was the primary backup to Carson Palmer in 2009 and in the preseason.
