Titans axe QB Simms, DE Brock

The Titans have cut QB Chris Simms, a move first reported by ESPN.com

Simms was attempting to win the No. 3 QB job in Tennessee behind Vince Young and Kerry Collins.

In his second stint in Tennessee, Simms has thrown only two regular-season passes with the Titans. He started one game with the Broncos last season after spending the majority of his career since 2003 with the Buccaneers.

The team also has cut DE Raheem Brock, who just recently returned from injury.
